Dreams are what i live for.  I have a pretty bland life, so i love mostly in my dreams, ahaha strange but yeah.

Now dreams are one of the strangest phenomenons and are had to explain, wouldn't it be great if we could record and play them back later for reference.  But id be scared of someone fining my dreams and watching them, as they are pretty obscure.

Many people believe that dreams are a depiction of our true inner fears and desires.  Although modern scientists believe that dreams are more of a "dress rehearsal" for when shit goes down.  Getting us prepared for what may be coming.

Today I'm gonna go through some common dream situations and their meanings.

Spiders

Dreaming about spiders can mean that you feel particularly manipulated or a manipulator.  Or this can men something is bugging you that you need to stand up to.

Being Chased

Now we have all had a dream about being chased, by who or what will be different to all of us.  In my case i am constantly being chased by zombies... When people dream about being chased it means they are avoiding particularly emotional people, emotions or situations.  To work out what people or emotions or situations you are avoiding, simply recognise who or what is chasing you, where they are chasing you and why they are chasing you.  This may give you a better understanding of what you are avoiding and need to stand up to.

Being Naked In Public

Now i cant say i have had many of these dreams of being naked in public.  So i will get straight to the meaning.  Being naked in pubic does not allow you to conceal anything (well you could, but I'm not going to go there)  So being naked in public allows you to conceal nothing, thus having it all out.  Meaning you have some things that you need to share or they are going to tear you up inside.

Falling

Now all of us have had a dream about falling.  For me i only last about 2 seconds before i wake up, but few others may be able to last longer, or enjoy the feeling.  Falling in a dream can mean that something in your life is going wrong at a rapid pace and it needs to be turned around quickly or you could fall out of your job, out of a friendship for example.  So if you're falling, you need to turn your shit around!

Flying

Now this has to be my favourite dream.  I love the feeling of being able to just fly away from situations and feel free in the air.  Now flying has a few different meanings to it though, so here they are - 

1. Flying could mean that you are happy with your sex life
2. while trying to fly and failing could mean that you are getting a shit sex life or feeling inadequate
3. flying could also mean you have a want and need to rise above
4. it could also mean you feel superior to other people. 

Pregnancy/Giving Birth

Although this is common among women, it is not entirely exclusive to women.  Thank god i have never had one of these dreams.  The dream of being pregnant is all to do with creativity.  About creating a new idea, creating art.  So if your having dreams of being pregnant you may be a creative genius.

I Will Never Go Skydiving

SO here we have a video of Laverne Everett who had just turned 80.  So what better way of celebrating reaching 80 and not dying, by trying to get herself killed.

From what we can see, she was fine when she was going up, but when it came to jumping, she looked like a cat being put into a bath, hands grabbing everywhere.  Which is exactly what i would be like, except I'm not that fucking stupid to go jump out of a plane.

So as soon a she was, PUSHED out of the plane all hell broke loose and she slipped from her harness.  

Tits out, bra out, skin flapping in the wind.  Poor Laverne, i genuinely feel sorry for her, i would have had a heart attack.  So they tried pushing her back into her harness with no luck, so they pulled the rip cord and wished for the best.

Laverne safely made it to the ground and all is fine.  The parachute center said everything was in working order and worked as it should....yes our patrons SHOULD fall out of the harness, its all part of the experience. In the last decade, at that parachute centre alone, 8 people have died.

THINK OF THE COWS!!!!

So I was watching RWJ again and i saw this video of just a casual afternoon drive....THE THE COWS!!!!

So this truck crashes, and all these cows fall out.  That's the basic premise of this video. 

At the moment this video has over 3 million views. 

No one was hurt, and hopefully none of the cows were either...but they all seemed to get up so they must be fine.

The One and Only Edgar Oliver

Edgar Oliver

Not many of you would have heard of the very strange an unique, Edgar Oliver.  He has been very well known in the downtown NY theater scene since the 1980's  Sir Oliver is a Poet and an actor and writes all his own material and directs all his own shows.  He has lately been brought into the main stream due to his very brief 2 minute stint on Oddities for his famous line "Is that a Straight Jacket?"

So what we can gather is that Edgar is a bit of a creep and he pretty much reminds me of this fellow from family guy...

Herbert The Pervert

Now oddities hasn't been the only show he has been in on TV.  He also now hosts his own spin off show of oddities called Odd Folks Home, and acts as the creepy crypt keeper of sorts.  Still with his creepy accent.

 

Even with the fish-eye lens.....i don't think this show is TV PG just based on his voice alone, i can feel myself being fiddled.

But apart from TV, Edgar has been in a movie called Gentlemen Broncos.  Basically a home schooled kids writes a book and a big writer is suffering writers block so he steals the kids book...pretty much it, like Big Fat Liar but not with the ugly little midget kid from Malcolm In The Middle.

But from what i can see, Edgar Oliver is a fantastic artist and has really found his niche for his poetry and plays.  He does great work and he definitely has a cult following.  See below for some of his work.

 

 

 

My Odd Tv Addiction

So as of late i have found myself confined to my bed watching a great new find of mine called Oddities.  Very rarely do i leave my room now, mostly to eat, smoke and take a dump.  But that is how i know I am absolutely in love with a show.

Oddities is essentially a reality program that follows the everyday running of a business that specialises in Odd Collectibles.  The shop is called Obscura Antiques & Oddities and it is located in Manhattan.

One of the best things about this show is the crazy, bizarre and basically obscure items that they buy and sell in store. They have had electric chairs, shrunken heads, a woman who does art with nail clippings and such other strange things.

But the best thing about this show is the people in it.  You have the shop owners Evan and Mike, and the intern that works there "The Cerd" as they call him, the cool nerd. and then Ryan, the bone collector (not like that Angelina Jolie movie)  Yes these guys are great.  I love when they get The Curd to do shit he doesn't want to do and I love Evan and mike.  But the best people in the whole show are the customers.

The customers of Obscura are absolutely obscure.  They mainly have artists come in but you do get the odd professional that you would not expect to come in.

My favorite characters have been Edgar Oliver, who is very stereotypical pedophile, MIND YOU HE ISN'T! He is just very....articulate...His most renown line from the show is "Issss...That a....Straight Jacket?

Then there is Genesis P-Orridge who  is an English singer-songwriter, musician, poet, writer and performance artist. This is infact a man, who is all about art and his body is an expression of his art.

Then there is Laura Flook, Mortician turn Model turned Designer.  She has the very awkward feel about her and loves vacuuming out chest cavities as it is satisfying for her.  But man is she hot!
